Gobi 65
Ingredients
- Cauliflower florets : 15-20 large
- Corn flour : 4 Tbsp
- All purpose flour : 3 tbsp
- Rice flour : 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder : 3 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste : 2 tsp
- Garam masala powder : 1 tsp
- Some chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves
- Green chilli : 1 finely chopped
- Lime juice : 1,5 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method
- Soak the florets in boiling hot water and add a pinch of turmeric powder and salt and keep aside for 15 minutes. After that drain it and keep ready
- Meanwhile prepare the marinade by mixing all the above mentioned ingredients without water
- Now add the florets and get it coated with the marinade by sprinkling very little water
- Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the coated florets until it is cooked all through
- Remove from oil and allow to cool for 10 minutes and fry the cooked florets once again in hot oil. This helps the florets to get a crisp coating.
